In learning to use a CAD system, lines and circles are the first two, and perhaps the most important two, geometric entities that one should master the skills of creating and modifying. As one gains some experience in creating lines and circles, similar procedures can be applied to create other geometric entities. One of my favourite tools, the properties palette, has received an extra lift. Triangles and polygons are planar figures bounded by straight lines. The Advanced portion provides detailed coverage of 3D modeling, including solid, surface, and mesh modeling.
Version 1. In this book students learn to create solid models using Autodesk Inventor and then learn how to create working drawings of their 3D models using AutoCAD.
Each chapter concludes with end of chapter problems providing challenges to a range of abilities in mechanical, electrical, and civil engineering as well as architectural problems.
Using step-by-step tutorial lessons, the library project is followed through to create FFE plans, interior elevations, schedules, and details. Objects created in the Student Version cannot be used for commercial use.
The interface is designed so that users who are already familiar with Apple's macOS software will find it similar to other Mac applications.
